Bolognese
Classic dish that is quick and easy to make

Ingredients
- Low calorie cooking spray
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large carrot, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 500 grams lean beef mince (5% fat or less)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 x 400 grams chopped tomatoes
- 200 grams passata
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
- Chopped fresh parsley
Method

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Spray a large pan with low calorie cooking spray.
- Add the onion and garlic.
- Cook gently until the onion is softened.

Sear the Mince:
- Add the beef to the pan.
- Cook for a few minutes until the beef is browned.

Combine the Ingredients:
- Add the chilli, cinnamon, basil, carrot, tomatoes and passata to the pan.
- Season well.
- Bring to the boil.
- Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until the sauce is thick.

Serve:
- Serve with plenty of spaghetti and a green salad.

Parmesan: Add a little parmesan grated over the top.
